From Rookie To All-Star
WNBA rookie Angel Reese is having a tremendous week. Tuesday, it was announced Reese was selected for the WNBA’s All-Star team; this news followed after her 85-77 winning game against the Atlanta Dream. Her coach Teresa Weatherspoon revealed the news to Reese during their end-game locker room discussion. Reese was one of twelve players selected for a position on the squad.

Angel Reese Reacts
The Chicago Sky player appeared very happy and humbled regarding the news. During her Tuesday post-game press conference, she said, “I’m just so happy.” It was a gleeful moment for the superstar rookie. Angel Reese is scheduled to participate in the WNBA All Star game in Phoenix on July 20th versus Team USA. Reportedly, Indiana Fever’s rookie Caitlin Clark has also been selected for the team, making the infamous rivals teammates for a limited time. Watch her video reaction and press conference below!
Best Week Ever
According to Fox 32 Chicago, Reese delivered heavily on the court this week, recently setting a record for the most single-season consecutive double-double in the WNBA. This week, she also won BET Sportswoman of the Year at the Bet Awards. Additionally, she was recognized as the WNBA Rookie of the Month for June.
