Breaking down the creative process behind the single, Natanya revealed the song first came together during a studio session built around chords she created on her Yamaha electric piano before evolving into the larger-than-life sound heard on the final version.

“I really wanted it to feel like an anthem,” she shared. “Something about girl power, agency, and refusing to wait for permission.”

DON’T ASK! arrives following the success of her dual EP releases, Feline’s Return and Feline’s Return Act II, projects that showcased her artistic growth and pushed her sound deeper into polished pop territory while maintaining the emotional honesty fans connected with on Sorrow at Sunrise.
