Eminem’s Mother, Debbie Nelson, Passed Away At Age 69
Sad news today as it’s being reported rapper Eminem’s mother, Debbie Nelson, passed away after a battle with lung cancer. TMZ reports that Nelson passed yesterday (Dec. 2) at 69. In September, it was revealed by news outlets Nelson was “terminally ill with advanced lung cancer.”
A source close to Nelson shared with In Touch:
“There are not many options [for Debbie]. She is currently staying between the cancer center and with family members. She has a very limited amount of time [left].”
They continued, noting that Eminem was “good to his mom,” despite their rocky relationship and lack of communication.
“People around her aren’t even sure if Eminem is even aware of what is happening to his mother. He’s good to his mom. He makes sure he takes care of her, but they don’t really talk. It would be good for both of them [to communicate]. This could give them the chance to reconcile.”
We send our condolences out to Eminem and his family, his father reportedly previously transitioned in 2019.
