Akademiks React To Kendrick Lamar Seemingly Dissing Him On New Track

DJ Akademiks is currently agitated after Kendrick Lamar appeared to have aimed a few lyrics at him in a recently released untitled song.  Lines such as “Influencers talk down ’cause I’m not with the basic sh*t” and “The radio personality pushing propaganda for salary” seemingly called out Akademiks, a dedicated supporter of Drake who has been viewed as being biased when covering controversial news stories surrounding the rapper. Interestingly enough, Akademiks revealed he allegedly never got free tickets from Drake to his concert throughout his many years of dedication to the rapper.

Akademiks promptly responded in the comment section of  Lamar’s music post on Instagram replying, No No Noooo, signaling his displeasure at being the potential subject of Kendrick Lamar’s verse. Subsequently, during his Wednesday night stream, he expressed frustration, criticizing Lamar for making more music, although he already won his rap battle against Drake previously. He mentioned, “You can’t say there isn’t a game 2, then immediately drop a track seemingly baiting game 2.”

This isn’t the first time Lamar called out Akademiks. On “6:16 In LA,” a track released during the peak of Lamar’s conflict with Drake, he expressed his beliefs that Akademiks could be ‘compromised’.

Kendrick Lamar released this untitled diss record to his Instagram page this week after his hip-hop industry peers expressed upset he’s headlining the Superbowl Halftime Show in New Orleans next year. Nicki Minaj, Birdman, and Juvenile expressed they wanted the NFL committee to select Lil Wayne over Lamar due to Lil Wayne being a New Orleans native.
