Doechii Reveals Her ‘Alligator Bites Never Heal’ Tracklist

Doechii’s long-awaited full-length project is on the way. After several hot singles, verses, and her famous Swamp Sessions, her new mixtape Alligator Bites Never Heal drops Friday, August 30. Doechii a Tampa native rapper revealed the cover art and title earlier this month, and dropped the tracklist on Tuesday, August 20.

With Alligator Bites Never Heal, Doechii teases the full Doechii experience, as only one track — the K*ntfetish-assisted “GTFO!” — contains a feature. The mixtape also boasts the previously released single “Nissan Altima.” This Friday, Doechii will drop a new song, “Boom Bap.”

Inspirational Influences Behind The Project

When Doechii first announced Alligator Bites Never Heal, she revealed that the mixtape was inspired by her “own vices” as well as dealing with “differences with [her] label” and “creative numbness.” She credits her Swamp Sessions — a series in which she sets a timer for an hour and writes a song, posting it afterwards — for helping restore her creative energy.

“This mixtape embodies my resurgence, my reclaiming of power,” said Doechii in an Instagram post. “It’s a testament to my unyielding spirit and limitless creativity. In my research about alligator attacks, i found that a common thread in each survivor was that the main reason they survived is BECAUSE they fought back. This mixtape is my fight back. I am nobody’s prey; I was born to be the predator.”
