Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Prison Release Date Revealed

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Prison Release Date:

According to the Bureau of Prisons, recently convicted rap mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has an expected release date for May 8, 2028. Earlier this month, he received a 50-month prison sentence in October and has been incarcerated since September 2024. Diddy was convicted in July 2025 on two counts of transportation with the intent to engage in prostitution with victim ex-girlfriend, singer-model Cassie Ventura, and a victim who testified under the pseudonym “Jane.”

The mogul was also ordered to pay a $500,000 fine. Along with a credit of 14 months time served being applied as he’s been jailed at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn for over a year after his arrest in 2024 at a New York City Hotel. This means the disgraced mogul could be released in 3 years, with 5 years of supervised release following his release from prison, which aligns with the expected release date posted on the Bureau of Prisons website.

Diddy’s Downfall

Diddy’s troubles began after his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura filed a massive lawsuit claiming sexual and physical abuse and coercion at the hands of Combs. He settled the suit with the singer for a reported $20 million. However, the mogul denied any wrongdoing until video surveillance footage was released exclusively by CNN showing Sean Combs physically assaulting Cassie Ventura in a California Intercontinental hotel lobby in 2016.

This spiraled into the subsequent downfall of Diddy’s career and life as a respected music producer and entrepreneur. Diddy’s homes were eventually raided, leading to RICO charges surrounding evidence collected from his dwelling, with victims making damaging accusations and filing lawsuits.

In addition, Diddy was found not guilty of RICO charges in the same trial avoiding a possible lifetime imprisonment. Since the conviction, his legal team has been vigorously attempting to appeal his case. This news follows speculation that Combs may have been allegedly seeking to get his sentence commuted by President Trump.
