Kendrick Lamar and Sza Fans Mad At Ticketmaster Over Prices For Tour Tickets

Kendrick Lamar and Sza fans are furious with Ticketmaster over a drastic increase in ticket prices for the artists’ highly anticipated “The Grand National Tour.”
Although the tour is set to begin next spring, fans didn’t waste any time seeking presale tickets to the event, only to be shocked by the inflated seating rates.Fans have made claims accusing the ticket giant of allegedly actively increasing the prices of tickets from $75 to as high as $422 for “nosebleed” seats. Meanwhile, mid to close-range seats were priced between $500 and $950 per person.

Lamar’s supporters spoke out on social media app X in outrage:

One user wrote, “Nosebleed tickets for Kendrick and SZA are $350. Ticketmaster, you will crumble.”

Another user states, “$350 for nosebleed SZA/Kendrick tickets I will be squabbling up in my living room.”

A third user expressed, “Kendrick and Sza’s concert tickets costing more than the prices for Beyoncé or Taylor’s is actually insane, you announced this s— a day before AND during the holidays, and you wanna put prices at 150-300 for UPPER seats??”

It got even more intense when a young woman posted a video on TikTok, crying tears of devastation due to the unaffordable cost of the show seats. She cries, “ I don’t care if I’m being over f— dramatic! I don’t care $125 for nosebleeds is insane. I literally saw these tickets go from $40 then they disappeared to
$75. and those same tickets are showing up as $144.”

She continues, “Y’all are actively changing these tickets like as people are buying them and this practice is making people like not able to f- afford being able to go to any f_ shows like this.

She states angrily, “It’s not okay this shit bothers me to my core. It bothers me to my core every time I try to buy a concert ticket. Like, why are y’all doing this?”

Concluding her in anguish she cries, “Nosebleeds should never be over $100! Nosebleeds are literally for people who just wanna be in the room and wanna experience the music! Why do y’all do this y’all suck and this is why y’all shows suck!”

Viewers in the comment section of her video accused Ticketmaster of price-gouging fans, claiming the outrageous rates were due to dynamic pricing.

Dynamic pricing is defined as, a strategy where businesses adjust prices in realtime based on market demand. The goal is to increase sales and optimize margins.
To clarify, fans are mostly upset with the ticket distributors. However, they are desperately asking Kendrick Lamar and Sza to step in to resolve the issue.

Something needs to be said/done about live nation and Ticketmaster using dynamic pricing to increase the prices of tickets that have just released. I saw Kendrick tickets go from $40 to $250 on the floor I saw them go from $451 to $1000 a pop.
