PnB Rock: Set Up by Insider At Roscoe’s Before Fatal Shooting

More shocking details have emerged surrounding the fatal shooting of rapper PNB Rock. The artist was robbed at gunpoint and murdered while dining at a local Roscoe’s Chicken N’ Waffles back in 2022. A new surveillance video suggests an individual inside the Los Angeles restaurant may have set up the slain rapper.

According to True Crime News analyst Ana Garcia on CBS Philadelphia, PNB Rock’s murder occurred shortly after a person inside the establishment interacted with him.

“There’s someone that spots him and does a fist bump,” revealed the analyst, referencing the footage. “We see this on video. That person then contacted someone else — a father and son team.”

 The analyst revealed that PnB Rock’s meal was delayed by 40 minutes, likely due to the restaurant being extremely busy that day. She dismissed earlier claims that blamed his girlfriend for his tragic death after she shared a photo of their location, clarifying that it was not her fault.

“She didn’t post the photo until much later,” the analyst explained. “The real culprits were the two individuals in the restaurant who had planned to rob him for his jewelry, leading to his death.”

The analyst added, “His girlfriend carried guilt, believing she was responsible, but she wasn’t. Social media and some celebrities were quick to place the blame on her.”

The documentary reveals as cops continued their questions, they soon learned from Stephanie someone in the restaurant seemed suspicious after spotting PNB’s jewelry.

Investigators then confirmed her suspicion that PNB was set up. The investigator states, “It all started with the gentlemen sitting inside the door of the restaurant, that fist bumped PNB Rock on video who knew who he was.”

He further states this individual was not an employee but a well-known loiterer of the establishment. This person walks out of the restaurant after fist bumping PNB Rock, and alerts another man outside the establishment. They then orchestrated a plot to rob the rapper of his jewelry. 

Surveillance Footage Solved The Case

Prosecutors revealed that Freddie Lee Trone instructed his then 17-year-old son to shoot and kill rapper PnB Rock. During his testimony, Trone denied any involvement in the robbery and murder, asserting that he wasn’t at the restaurant when the incident occurred. However, surveillance footage captured him in the parking lot 30 minutes before the shooting. In response, Trone claimed he was there to handle business for a beauty shop he owned nearby.

In September, Freddie Lee Trone, 42, was sentenced to 31 years to life in prison after being convicted of murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, and two counts of second-degree robbery in connection to PnB Rock’s killing.
