Megan Thee Stallion continues to demonstrate her love of anime in her new video for “Neva Play.”
Just two months after dropping her third studio album Megan, the Hot Girl Coach has teamed up with RM of BTS for a scorching new collab. On “Neva Play,” Meg issues the reminder that she’s not the one to mess with. While Hot Girl Summer may be wrapping up, Meg has the game on lock 24/7-365.
Over an energetic, thumping beat, Meg comes through with fiery bars, and brow-raising analogies.
“I’m the big fish jumpin’ out the TX / So dope, tryna make me take a pee test / Check the credits, you know who run it when the flow this hard, this heavy, Kotex,” she raps on the first verse.
Equally as captivating is RM, who is gearing up for a big return to the spotlight next year, as BTS’ mandatory service in the Korean military is soon ending.
Rife with braggadocious bravado, RM’s verse boldly claims “For Asia, man, we paved the way,” alluding to the boys of BTS. He has some fun with the verse, dishing out clever wordplay and rhymes, rapping “we just bossin’, pour out the sauces in the face of the big bosses / Call me a narcissist, like a typhoon, be an artist and be honest.”
In the song’s accompanying video, Meg and RM hit up a casino, while the screen cuts to anime versions of the two artists, juxtaposing two universes.
