Baltimore Bridge Collapses After Struck By Large Ship (Video)

The Francis Scott Key Bridge collapsed Tuesday morning around 1 am after a large ship struck the bridge. According to Fox news reports, the ship collided with a pillar connected to the bridge. There were several vehicles with passengers that flew into the water during the incident. It is believed to be at least an estimated 7 missing upon the fall.  The bridge carries Interstate 695 over the Patapsco River. The tragedy was caught on video footage. A large ship is seen crashing underneath the bridge before the bridge completely collapses into pieces.

Emergency Responders Searching Water For People

Emergency responders are currently searching the water for victims. NBC News reported one person was rescued in good condition refusing treatment, while another was seriously injured and transported to the hospital the Baltimore Fire Chief, James Wallace claimed. Maryland is now under a state of emergency in connection to the incident, as Governor Wes Moore planned to deploy federal resources at the scene.
