Childish Gambino Has New Album?

Childish Gambino is returning to the music scene with a new album, well sorta. The artist announced on his Instagram story March 15, that he plans to reissue his 3.15.20 album for listeners to enjoy. The album is a reissuing of his previous work with a new title called ATAVISTA. It includes 11 songs with new track names as well.

What To Expect?

Childish Gambino hasn’t released music since 2020. 3.15.20 album was his latest music contribution. He is staying very active doing work under his real name Donald Glover (Childish Gambino is his musical stage name).

Glover discussed the possibility of getting back into the music arena under his Childish Gambino moniker in his Hollywood Reporter interview. He clarified he’s considering making more music.

Back To Comedy Stand Up

Glover also admitted his interest in performing stand-up comedy again. “Oh yeah. Thought about it. Chris Rock had said, like, “When are you going to do it again? No one gets really good at it until their 40s, except for Eddie [Murphy].”

He also admits to writing jokes down saying:

“I still write jokes down and I think about it,” he said. “I asked Bill Burr where to go, and I had a list, and I was just like, ‘Is it something that I feel like I need to do right now?’ Maybe it’s just a nice thing that’s there that you can try to do again if you want.”

Clarifying he feels the same way about music. This interview happened in February. Less than a month later Childish Gambino announced the reissuing of his album 3.15.20.

With a new name fans are speculating will the music sound revamped. Why would Gambino take him time to release the same project?
