Lebron James Speaks About Confronting Stephen A Smith:
Lebron James is speaking out weeks after he confronted sports commentator Stephen A Smith courtside at his basketball game for his stark remarks about his son Bronny James on his show. James visited The Pat McAfee Show during the sit-down he clarified his reason for condemning Stephen A Smith for his sports commentary about Bronny James. Smith was very vocal with his critique of Bronny James’ skills in the NBA. Expressing his belief that Bronny did not belong in the league based on his various lackluster performances. He even personally called out Lebron for his job as a father. Specifically accusing James of using nepotism to help his son Bronny excel in his NBA career.
James took several jabs at Smith appearing to use the whole situation as fuel to build publicity and viewership for his talkshow platform.
When asked about Smith, Lebron James said,
“He’s like on a #TaylorSwift tour run right now. It started off with, ‘I didn’t want to address it. I didn’t want to address it, I wasn’t going to address it. But since the video came out, I feel the need to address it’ Motherf*cker. Are you kidding me? If there’s one person that couldn’t wait ‘till the video dropped, so you could address it, it’s your *ss.”
He continued,
“He completely missed the whole point. The whole point. Never would I ever not allow people to talk about the sport. Criticize players about what they do on the court.
James proudly addresses his role as a protective father and leader stating, “That is your job. But when you take it, and you get personal with it, it’s my job to not only protect my d*mn household but protect the players.”

Bronny James Improvements:
Interestingly enough, this conversation comes on the heels of Bronny having the best two games in his NBA and G-League career. James Jr. recently scored a career-high 17 points during his Lakers games versus the Milwaukee Bucks last week. He scored a lifetime high of 39 points during his NBA G-League game with the South Bay Laker, leading to a victory over Santa Cruz Warriors days ago. He seems to be finding his footing despite hefty accusations of nepotism being why he was drafted by the Lakers last year.
Stephen A Smith Fires Off:
Stephen A Smith wasted no time addressing the viral moment James confronted him courtside at the Lakers game last month on his podcast. He accused Lebron of being a liar, alleging James seemingly staged the incident for attention. According to Smith, James looked directly into an unknown fan’s camera phone after they recorded Smith being scolded face to face by James. Escalating the situation, the sports commentator warned if Lebron James had laid hands on him, he would’ve swung off. Taking their verbal disagreement to the next level.

Lebron then replied to Smith, posting an unfavorable clip of Smith in a boxing class, appearing very stiff, attempting to swing on his Instagram with the caption “Whomp Whomp Whomp.”
Lebron James and Smith Won’t Stop:
This would further infuriate Smith, causing him to “crash out” during his talk show First Take. Particularly with Smith making a garring now debunked statement alleging Lebron did not attend the late Kobe Bryant’s memorial service. In an embarrassing turn of events, Smith would go to his social media account, confirming the statement was incorrect. “My apologies and clarification. I misspoke in Hour#1 of First Take today when I intimated that LeBron did not attend Kobe Bryant’s memorial. I corrected myself in Hour#2 when I acknowledged he was indeed in attendance. My mistake. Should not have even broached that subject. It was not my main point. I retract NOTHING else that I said. Have a nice day!”
Smith discussed Lebron James’ relationship with his former Miami Heat teammate Dwyane Wade. Smith alleges James did not show up to support Wade at his recent Hall Of Fame induction. His words would cause chaos among fans, with many calling out Smith for his false statements surrounding James’ whereabouts at Kobe Bryant’s funeral. Since these events, onlookers have been waiting to see how far this feud will go between the NBA star and the sports commentator.
“I never brought up really & never really discussed why you were not at Kobe Bryant’s memorial service. I never really brought up or discussed why you did not attend Dwyane Wade’s Hall of Fame induction.”
