Wendy Williams’ Guardian Did Not Want Doc Aired
More information is coming to light as to why Wendy Williams guardian filed a lawsuit against A&E. This occurred days prior to the release of Wendy’s ‘Where Wendy Williams?’ documentary. The documentary which followed the talk show host as she struggled with a series of health issues; left viewers stunned. Wendy Williams became diagnosed with dementia and aphasia to fans surprise. This occurred not long after filming.
What The Unsealed Lawsuit Reveals About Lifetime
The Shaderoom reported weeks ago Williams’ guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, filed the lawsuit against A&E to stop the airing of the documentary. Now new unsealed documents from the lawsuit reveals the reason why. Wendy Williams, “did not have the legal or mental capacity to authorize her participation” in the documentary when its contract was signed her guardian alleged.
Lastly, Morrissey alleges that it “remains unknown who created the company that entered into a contract with the network.” To note, the company that signed the contract was listed as “The Wendy Experience.”

“The name in the signature is not clearly legible; however, it is highly distinguishable from W.W.H.’s signature.” The Hollywood Reporter also alleges, “William Selby, acting as Williams’ manager for the project, made representations to Morrissey that he would have final creative control over the final cut. Also, that it would portray Williams in a positive manner.”

The guardian approved the filming of Wendy Williams Lifetime documentary; under the condition everything would have to be reviewed and court approved before airing. Yet, reportedly the films trailer aired without notification. Morrissey alleged in the lawsuit. Morrissey expressed she was horrified by the depiction of Wendy Williams. Specifically regarding the portrayal of Wendy’s behavior and overall demeanor. The documentary seemingly falsely presented Williams unstable behavior was due to intoxication. Later learning it was due to multiple medical conditions. Williams’ team shared that she has primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. Willams also has Graves’ disease and lymphedema, which is the buildup of fluid in soft body tissues.
