MIKE TYSON: ALMOST DIED MONTHS BEFORE THE MATCH AGAINST JAKE PAUL
Boxing great Mike Tyson, 58, has broken his silence since being defeated at his Netflix match against boxer-YouTuber Jake Paul, 27, on November 15th. Many viewers were stunned by the champ’s slowed movements during the fight, hoping to see Tyson perform at a higher intensity and aggression similar to his heyday. His loss made many speculate why Jake Paul outpaced him outside the apparent 31-year age gap. Mike Tyson took to the X platform to express that he has ‘no regrets’ about getting in the ring one last time. Further revealing, he almost died in June due to a health emergency.
“This is one of those situations when you lost but still won. I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time. I almost died in June. Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won,” Mike Tyson writes.
The champ declared he lost but still won to have been able to make it into the ring months after his health crisis.
Tyson takes pride in completing the full 8 round match for his children to see. “To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you, he finishes.

Jake Paul then left a comment saying, “Love you, Mike. It was an honor. You’re an inspiration to us all.”
Which is something we can all agree with. For Mike Tyson to get in shape and step into the ring at age 58 with a man half his age, and last eight rounds despite his health crisis 6 months prior is commendable. Tyson’s legacy remains intact as the greatest boxer of all time.
Love you Mike. It was an honor. You’re an inspiration to us all.

If you sent Jake back in time to fight 1988 Iron Mike, he wouldn’t have woken up until last night.
Enjoy your life and your family, champ. You’re still the GOAT.
