Diddy Live Arraignment Details

Diddy, aka Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, Bad Boy Records founder, music producer, and mogul got arrested by the FBI in Manhattan, New York, on Monday night, September 16.

Subsequently, he was taken into custody under a slew of charges, including -x trafficking, racketeering, kidnapping, arson, coercion and more.

According to reports, Diddy is facing up to life in prison for racketeering charges while facing 15 years in prison for -x trafficking charges, along with ten years for transportation for prostitution.

New York Post reports, “Combs is accused of forcing women into “F. Offs” with male -x workers while he recorded the sometimes days-long  -x sessions.”

Sean Combs Arraigned

Diddy is currently still in custody. He has since attended his arraignment in Lower Manhattan Court Tuesday afternoon. At the arraignment, he pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.

According to TMZ, Diddy offered to pay a whopping $50 million as bail. Instead of cash, he offered his $48 million Miami mansion and his mother’s home as collateral. He also said he would wear a GPS monitor and limit his travel to South Florida and the NYC area.

The court hearing is still going on, and a judge has yet to rule on the issue of bail. To highlight, prosecutors believe he’s a flight risk and should not receive bail. Prosecutors say he should remain in federal custody, describing him as a threat and serial abuser. Also, stating he was a serial obstructor; interesting enough, they brought up the video that CNN released of Diddy on camera in a hotel abusing ex-girlfriend singer Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura as evidence of his violent behavior. Highlighting as well after the incident, he allegedly handed over a handful of cash to the security at the hotel to make the whole thing go away.

Diddy Bond Denied

CNN Live reports during his hearing, he dressed in a black shirt and grey workout pants. He had had his hands behind his back but was not handcuffed. He was described as looking around the courtroom with a stunned face. Diddy has since been reportedly denied bond by a federal judge. He will remain in custody until his trial, according to CNN. He will be held in federal detention.

Diddy’s attorneys fought for his bail, claiming he turned over his passport to lawyers, with Combs saying he would report any of his movements to prosecutors. However, the judge said her concern was that the crimes happened behind closed doors leading her to deny bond. There was nothing his lawyers provided that made her feel comfortable that he would return to the courthouse for trial upon release on bail. It was both his alleged substance abuse and the fact that this physical abuse occurred while he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. She could not trust that he would not commit any additional crimes denying bond. Diddy was subsequently taken into carried away by the US Marshall to remain in Federal custody until trial.

Diddy’s Attorney Plans Appeal

Diddy’s attorney Marc Agnifilo, held a press conference after the hearing, clarifying he plans to appeal the judge’s decision to deny his bail.
