Tyler The Creator Creates Fashion
Music artist Tyler The Creator has stepped into his fashion bag after revealing his new clothing line with Louis Vuitton.
Tyler The Creator broke the news about the fashion line back in February. He announced the release of the line with a 2-minute ad campaign video on Instagram March 21st. In the clip, Tyler walks into the frame dragging a giant camera with a string attached. Proceeding with showing models draped out in his apparel from head to toe. He reveals the clothing line is a collaboration with Louis Vuitton creative director and super music producer Pharrell Williams. The wardrobe includes button-down shirts, hats, and bags similar to Tyler The Creator’s fashion style. The fashion line is entitled Louis Vuitton by Tyler Okonma (Tyler’s real name).
Tyler The Creator Collabs With Pharrell
This isn’t Tyler’s first clothing collection. Tyler owns the clothing line le Fleur with Lacoste. Hip Hop DX highlights that clothing brand here, which is a collective of hats, coats, shoes, pants, shirts, and accessories. Along with previous contributions such as Golf Wang. This new line is very colorfully crafted with a unique touch only Tyler could create, pun intended.
He Isn’t New To This
He commemorated the moment by penning a letter discussing his experiences and growth in the fashion industry.

“I started with stencils on proclubs in 04. then iron ons for bloxhead in 06. few fuck lame prints in 08. Jasper would ask me to draw on his hoodies and shoes I never declined. then odd future items got cracking in 2011, and then vans trusted me.”
Tyler The Creator continues by discussing his experiences Golf Wang, and Lacoste led to him confidently creating this clothing collection.
“I started and dialed in on golf wang in 2013, which led to an ill-converse relationship still going.
started working on le FLEUR* in 2019 after Lacoste gave me a shot. le FLEUR* finally released 2021 and I’m still perfecting it. all that preparation went to work when I got the opportunity at Louis Vuitton to do this collection. He concludes,” I was not nervous, I did not feel pressure, I was beyond ready. I am very proud of how it came out. on top of everything I got to use my friends in it and the same production crew I’ve used on everything since the Yonkers video. I’ve been making clothing alongside music since I was 13.”
Tyler The Creator speaks candidly about the vision behind the clothing in an interview with GQ saying:
“My main focus was making things I would wear all the time. I dress the same in a meeting as I do a performance or grocery store trip, so hand drawing the monogram felt like the perfect balance to me.
“The chessboard is one of the greatest things I’ve made and is definitely my favorite thing from the collection. The team was great to work with, it kinda felt like Big with Tom Hanks. P has always left a door open for me, but I still can’t believe this one.”
