After multiple mass shooting across the US in the past month; House Judiciary Committee is set to hold a hearing Thursday to past new bills to legislation that would increase the age requirement for purchasing a semi-automatic centerfire rifle from 18 to 21.

This is in response to multiple deadly mass shootings that have occurred across the country; including Buffalo, NY and Uvalde, Texas where both assailants who were 18 years old used semi-automatic rifles to kill 10 black adults in a racist terrorist attack and 19 children in separate incidents.
