Music artist Isaiah Rashad sat down with Joe Budden to address his controversial sex tape that leaked to the internet in February. In the explicit video Isaiah Rashad is seen engaging in sexual relations with two men. The TDE artist finally addressed what led to this video being recorded and released to much scrutiny; along with formally coming out of the closet as “sexually fluid”.
Rashad expressed to Joe Budden although he did not want the sex tape released; he has chosen not to seek legal action against the person(s) responsible for the tape being leaked. Unlike most LGBT music artists that had the option to come out on their own terms; that right was taken away from him with this sex tape. However, the tape didn’t hurt his music career like many artists before.
Isaiah Rashad fans fully embraced him after the leak. He performed to a large crowd of fans at Coachella with tremendous support. He expressed to Joe Budden during his interview when asked regarding his orientation; “I’d say I’m sexually fluid,” he replies. “I’m still learning about it myself. I’m putting my head in the books to find out the basics of it.” He elaborates that he’s attracted more to personalities and intellect, but he is in a supportive monogamous relationship (something Joe Budden has trouble wrapping his head around). Isaiah says that he only recently began to discover this about himself. However, he expresses relief that he doesn’t have to explain “this internet stuff” to his kids. “My kids are six and eight,” he says. “We do Roblox.”
