‘Black Lives Matter’ founder Patrisse Cullor is in more hot water as its been revealed she allegedly used BLM charity funds to pay nearly $2 million dollars to her baby father and brother.
Upon review of her tax records filed with the IRS it claims she wrote a $840,000 check to her brother Paul Cullors. She claims the massive payout was for “providing security services to the nonprofit organization”, according to research by The New York Post.
More tax documents revealed Patrisse Cullor also allegedly dished out a whopping $970,000 to her child’s father Damon Turner. Turner, who reportedly owns his own company was paid by the BLM organization to help “produce live events” as well as other “creative services.
These new findings are adding more controversy as Cullors was accused in previous months of using BLM financial donations to fund a lavish lifestyle. The allegations arouse last year, after the organization brought in a stunning amount of $42 million net income between July 2020 and June 2021 alone according to NY Post.
Additional financial reviews found BLM had been operating on $4 million budget with $37 millions being spent on real estate, grants, and charter on private flights, according to tax filings. Along $32 millions being used to invest in stocks.
Many BLM supporters and donators grew suspicious regarding the financial practices of the organization, after it was discovered founder Patrisse Cullor allegedly used BLM donation money for lavish purchases. Some of the purchases included 4 expensive high end mansions valued at $3 million dollars. This revelation came about after Cullors claimed she was weeks removed from being in “survival mode”, according to NY Post.
She eventually stepped down from her position at BLM following these allegations last year. Cullors also stated the mansions under suspicion were indeed used for BLM organization purposes; one being for an inauguration party for Joe Biden. However, more findings claims she used another mansion to throw a birthday party for her son allegedly.
Whatever the case it seems most of Patrisse Cullors former supporters no longer trust her words.
