It’s with sad news we announce rapper DMX has died at the age of 50 following a drug overdose which led to a heart attack subsequently. It has now be confirmed by TMZ. The rapper was admitted to the hospital last Friday night following an overdose and had been on life support up in a coma until his passing. It was reported he was indeed brain dead by many outlets as stories regarding his condition swirled with various reports; including his attorney stating the rapper was taken off life support and breathing then later retracting his statement saying he was given the wrong information. DMX was removed from life support are a series of brain test showed he had no important or brain activity.
It was also reported DMX children and family was flown in to say their final goodbye to the music legend before his transition.
The rapper had a memorable career that spanned nearly 30 years with a list of hit singles and albums including the hit records What’s My Name, Party Up and Ruff Ryder Anthem. DMX also was known for his acting skills as he was featured in several movies including 2000’s Romeo Must Die alongside the late Aaliyah and Cradle 2 the Grave both blockbuster hit film.
DMX struggled opening with drug addiction and fought very hard to overcome his troubles. He was a man who believed in God openly and prayed often for his fans during concerts and on albums. This is truly heartbreaking all we can do is pray and say thank you to DMX for all the joy and music he brought throughout his life to the world. He will be truly missed but never forgotten. Condolences to his family, friends, and fans.
